File transfer: SFTP
You may transfer files to/from biocourse using any SFTP client.

On Windows consider Xftp 4 (Free for Home/School) or WinSCP, both SFTP, FTP and SCP client for Windows. WinSCP includes a basic text editor, enough for editing your files over the network.

On Macintosh consider Cyberduck, a good FTP, SFTP, WebDAV & Amazon S3 Browser for Mac OS X. Cyberduck is able to interact with TextWrangler, so you may transfer and edit files from the same interface.

Console access: SSH
You need a SSH terminal emulator.

On Windows use Xshell 4 (Free for Home/School), SSH3, WinSCP or PuTTY, all Telnet and SSH client. Connect using
protocol ssh
userid youruserid

On Mac OS X, simply open the Terminal and type on the command line:
and press Return.
