NotespRS314 is one the four yeast centromeric vectors which is based on the backbone of bacterial pBluescript plasmid. All these vectors are uniform and differ only in the yeast selectable marker gene used (HIS3, TRP1, LEU2 or URA3). These vector posses a bacterial ORI, the yeast CEN6 centromeric sequence, the yeast ARSH4 origin of replication region, the f1(+) phage DNA replication origin, a bacterail AmpR gene and a T7 and T3 phage promoters. These vectors were constructed by Sikorski RS, and Hieter P., and published in Genetics. 1989 May;122(1):19-27. (A system of shuttle vectors and yeast host strains designed for efficient manipulation of DNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.)
