Notes | pRS425 is one the four yeast high copy vectors (~20/cell),which are based on the backbone of the pRS31x plasmids. All these vectors are uniform and differ only in the yeast selectable marker gene used (HIS3, TRP1, LEU2 or URA3). These vector posses a bacterial ORI, the yeast REP3 and FRT sequences and the yeast natural 2 micron origin of replication region that confers the high copy number in yeast cells, the f1(+) phage DNA replication origin, a bacterail AmpR gene and a T7 and T3 phage promoters. These vectors were constructed by Christianson TW, Sikorski RS, Dante M, Shero JH, Hieter P., and published in Gene. 1992: 110:119-22. (Multifunctional yeast high-copy-number shuttle vectors.) |
