Before using CSD, the laboratory head must fill out this PDF open in new windowform (it's in PDF format for Acrobat Reader) and return it to Hershel Safer by fax (6006) or by internal WIS mail. The form says that you agree to the conditions under which WIS licensed CSD.

Before using CSD the first time:

Create a mount point for CSD:

%mkdir /CSD

Edit your /etc/fstab file and enter the following line:

dapsas:/emc/CSD /CSD nfs rw,rsize=4096,wsize=4096,soft 0 0

Then mount the CSD directory:

% mount -a

Each time you want to start up CSD:

If you use a different shell than tcsh, start tcsh:

% tcsh

Then start the program:

% /CSD/csd_run

The program uses ">" as a prompt. Enter these commands:
> term X
> menu

A menu will open on your screen; now you can use the database with its software.
