Excel for Biologists:

particularly for microarray analysis
This workshop is meant for students and staff with a basic knowledge of Excel.

Time and Place:

1:st session - May 15, 2006, 10:00-12:00 - Beginners
2:nd session - May 15, 2006, 13:00-15:00 - Advanced
Faculty of Agriculture, Computer Classroom #18

The workshop will take about 2 hours, and will include the following topics:

• Basic Excel
• Building Graphs
• Sorting and Filtering Data
• Basic and Advanced Functions
• Probability and Statistics
• Basic programming with Excel (conditions)

The workshop will be given by Zohar Yitzhaki from the Bioinformatics Unit, Ein Karem Campus, Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The two sessions will be according to level of previous Excel knowledge (Beginners and Advanced)
