The upcoming workshop will be about PyMOL, an open-source, molecular-graphics system for real-time visualization and rapid generation of high-quality molecular graphics images and animations. The workshop will cover getting started with PyMOL and using it for a variety of applications.

  • Selecting & displaying chains, residues, atoms and secondary structure
  • Coloring & rendering molecules: CPK, ball and stick, ribbon, etc.
  • Measuring and labeling
  • Superimposing molecules
  • Generating high-quality figures

This workshop is part of structural bioinformatics consulting service offered by Dr. Rotem Sertchook in the Bioinformatics Unit of the Biological Services Department.

  • Free consultations in protein 3D structure visualization, analysis & prediction
