In this workshop we will focus on following topics:
- Searching, navigating and browsing the wwPDB
- The PDB file format
- Additional front-ends to the wwPDB (OCA, MMDB)
- Simple structure visualization with Jmol
- Assessment of structure quality
This workshop is intended to introduce basic terms in model validation (Resolution,
R and R-free, Stereochemistry etc.) together with several publicly available tools
that can help you assess the reliability of structural models. Using this information
can help you form a general opinion as to the overall quality and specific
characteristics of a structural model, as well as to select the best of a set of related models.
