open in new windowUCSF Chimera is a highly extensible program for interactive visuali zation and analysis of molecular structures and related data, including density maps, supramolecular assemblies, s equence alignments, docking results, trajectories, and conformational ensembles. High-quality images and animation s can be generated. Chimera can be downloaded free of charge for academic, government, non-profit, and personal us e.
The workshop will provide an overview of basic features in Chimera for displaying and manipulating structures. The basic features of Chimera are available either by using the menus and/or by entering commands. We well get famili ar with both ways of interacting with Chimera. In addition we will demonstrate some of Chimera analysis tools, inc luding Distances, H-bonds, contacts, angles and surfaces
