Discovery Studio Visualizer is a free version of a commercial DS viewer/editor-program sold by Accelrys.
The DS Visualizer provides functionality for visualizing, analyzing and sharing biological and chemical data.
The DS Visualizer is a very flexible and user-friendly environment that allows data to be transferred and analyzed in multiple formats. It includes tools for calculating solvent accessibility and RMSD, and a sequence editor.
The workshop will cover getting started with DS Visualizer and using it for a variety of applications.

  • Selecting & displaying chains, residues, atoms and secondary structure
  • Coloring & rendering molecules: CPK, ball and stick, ribbon, etc.
  • Measuring and labeling
  • Superimposing molecules
  • Generating high-quality figures
